Oracle Expands Database Innovation Leadership

Oracle has announced innovations across its data management portfolio which, it said, will make it easier, faster, and safer for customers to run their mission-critical workloads everywhere.

By “everywhere,” the company meant in the cloud and on-premises via the industry’s first and only self-driving database.

Oracle revealed it has expanded its autonomous capabilities by launching four new cloud regions across four continents in a month’s time.

One year into its availability, the Oracle Autonomous Database provides its clients with the highest levels of security, reliability and operational control for any database workload.

The system will provide a simplified experience for customers to move their on-premises workloads to Oracle Cloud, including in the autonomous database.
