‘Jenny’ halts NCAA

Heavy rains and floods caused by tropical storm “Jenny” prompted the National Collegiate Athletic Association management committee to postpone the scheduled men’s basketball matches yesterday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

According to Peter Cayco of host Arellano University, they decided to move the scheduled triple-header to a later date following the cancelation of classes in Manila and San Juan areas.

Reigning champion San Beda University was supposed to meet Mapua University while College of Saint Benilde collides with Letran and San Sebastian College tackles Arellano in the scheduled Season 95 battles.

“Due to the late suspension of classes by Manila and San Juan, the games scheduled for today, Tuesday, are cancelled,” said Cayco in a statement.
