BRIEFS: McDonald’s expands digital payment options with PayMaya

McDonald’s Philippines on Wednesday officially announced the expansion of its partnership with PayMaya for QR payments in its NXTGEN stores. McDonald’s customers in the Philippines can expect an even better dining experience as it continues to roll out its NXTGEN store format. This time, the brand scales up digital payment acceptance by offering PayMaya QR. This is on top of its already existing card payment options. The new dining and payment experiences coincide with the reopening of McDonald’s 32nd Street, located at the corner of 32nd Street and 5th Avenue in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Mang Inasal prepares for 600th store opening

The token is a mini-jeepney that carries the artwork created by Filipino visual artist Paulina Luz-Sotto, representing Mang Inasal’s journey towards becoming a national icon in the quick-service restaurant industry with its Solb Sa Sarap, Solb sa Saya menu of high quality Pinoy food and a fully satisfying dining experience.

Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc. (BCFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Bloomberry Resort and Hotel Inc. (BRHI), operator of Solaire Resort and Casino, recently donated P124 million to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). PRC Chairman and CEO, Hon. Senator Richard Gordon, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the donation, the largest single donation ever received by PRC, which he personally received from BCFI President, Donato Almeda. The donation will fund three major projects. The Dialysis Samaritan Program covers the sponsorship of a complete kidney care treatment plan for indigent patients with kidney failure and the conduct of public awareness campaigns for the prevention and control of kidney disease, hypertension and diabetes. The second program is the “Safe Blood for All” Program, aimed at improving access of indigent and charity patients to safe and quality blood, complementing existing services of the government.
