Quake rattles Luzon, Manila

The epicenter of the 4:28 p.m. quake was 40 kilometers northeast of Burdeos in Quezon at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to Phivolcs. #earthquakeevacuation

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake originating in Quezon province was also felt in Metro Manila and sent students and workers scampering for safety outside buildings on Friday, 13 September 2019.

The epicenter of the 4:28 p.m. quake was 40 kilometers northeast of Burdeos in Quezon at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs also recorded an aftershock of magnitude 2.4 around 5:02 p.m. with the epicenter pinpointed at 34 kilometers northeast of Burdeos.

There was no immediate reports of damage or casualty in Quezon and nearby areas.

The quake was felt at Intensity IV in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte and in Quezon City.
