AUB wins ‘Best Managed Fund’ award

Asia United Bank’s Gold Dollar Fund has won for the fourth consecutive year the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society’s Best Managed Fund Award in the Dollar Medium-Term Bond Fund category.
The society’s Best Managed Fund of the Year Awards have been the global standard of excellence in the investment industry since it launched in 2016. The said award recognizes the country’s high-performing funds open to retail investors, based on their risk-adjusted returns.

AUB beat 88 other funds from 16 investment houses and trust institutions that competed in this year’s search for the best managed funds. The society gave the awards at the Philippine Junior Finance and Investment Summit 2019 held last 7 September 2019 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
“Consistency is the key to our success. And having been recognized as the best managed fund for four consecutive years by the CFA is proof of this. In AUB, our objective in managing our UITFs is to always provide the best returns at the least possible volatility. With this, investors in our funds can be assured that their investments are safe,” said Andrew A. Chua, senior vice president and head of Trust and Investments Group of AUB.

The AUB Gold Dollar Fund is a dollar-denominated bond fund suited for clients who are willing to absorb principal risk associated with changing market conditions. Its investment objective is to achieve the best rate of return by investing in a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities and to achieve a rate of return equivalent to the rolling yield of the 5-year US Treasury Notes net of fees. The modified portfolio duration of the Fund’s investments shall not exceed five years.
