Traveling the smart way

It’s always the exciting things we see on Instagram. But the truth is, the pain is always in the small details when traveling

There’s really no stopping your inner wanderlust when the season of travel fests comes. A “buy two, take one” deal for Hongkong Disneyland and Ocean Park? How about for Universal Studios Hollywood, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure?

All these travel packages and more are up for grabs at the third Klook Travel Fest, the first mobile lead travel festival in the country, happening today until 8 September at Halls A and D of the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Be amazed at how traveling can be affordable with exclusive deals and promos offered by the booking platform with its partners like Smart where extra discounts are offered exclusively for its subscribers.

“Our goal is to make traveling more seamless for every Filipino. Everything that we do revolves around the questions on how to make things more convenient for users besides providing the best prices. Our goal is to upgrade or innovate our product to empower modern-day Filipino travelers. We want to give them accessibility and the best prices for their travels,” Michelle Cruz said, market lead for Klook Philippines.

Smart subscribes can get P300 off for a minimum spend of P4,000 at the travel fest. As for data roaming, one of Smart’s promos is the Roam Chat for P150, a substantial amount of data that can give you access to messaging apps in 24 hours.

“You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for data roaming because it’s in your phone already. Even with the presence of free WiFi, from time to time you will need data. It’s not as expensive as you expect,” Alice Ramos shared, Smart Communications Inc. vice president for International Roaming and Consumer Business.

There’s also the Smart GigaRoam at P999 that lets you do web surfing, video streaming and social media browsing for five days.

Ramos added, “It’s always the exciting things we see on Instagram. But the truth is, the pain is always in the small details when traveling. We want you to have seamless connectivity wherever you go. Now, it is possible again to book your needs ahead of time. Whether you are there for business for five days, 10 days or 15, we have the right plan for you.”

Klook Travel Fest invited local celebrities Liza Soberano and Team Kramer to conduct talks for the attendees. YouTube content creators Mike Chen of Strictly Dumpling, Lauren Bullen and Jack Morris of Do You Travel and K-pop stars Monsta X and Weki Meki will be joining in the fun, too.

“Since we attract different kinds of travelers, from families to solo travelers, we try to make sure that we tailor fit the content that we have. If the last travel fest featured a lot of Cherry Blossom destinations, this time around it’s global. This year we started offering destinations in the US, Europe and countries outside Asia. If a lot of the people who used Klook a year ago booked Hongkong, Singapore and Taiwan, this year there’ll be more destinations outside Asia,” Cruz added.

Klook will also be taking the Travel Fest to Cebu this year. To join, sign up at https://www.klook.com/en-PH/activity/24283-travel-fest-2019-manila/. For more details, check out Klook’s official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/klookph/.
