Angat Dam yet to reach normal high level

Water service interruption is not yet a thing of the past despite a number of storms and more frequent rainfall.

National Water Resources Board (NWRB) executive director Sevillo David Jr. said major Metro Manila water source Angat Dam has not reached the normal high operating level of 212 meters

As of 6 a.m. on Tuesday, 2 September, Angat’s level was at 183.03 meters, slightly above the normal operating level of 180 meters.

Concessionaires Maynilad and Manila Water got an increased 40 cubic meters per second (CMS) distribution starting Sunday—below the regular 46 CMS.

“We still can’t say we’ll no longer have problems with water supply,” David said in a radio interview on Tuesday.
