Sytin gunman pleads guilty

Edgardo Luib, the self-confessed gunman of businessman Dominic Sytin, pleaded guilty to murder charges at his arraignment in Olongapo City on Wednesday.

Luib who was arrested in March in Batangas, also pleaded guilty to frustrated murder for likewise shooting Sytin bodyguard Efren Espartero, who survived the incident.

Sytin, chief executive officer of United Auctioneers, Inc., was gunned down 28 November 2018 right outside a hotel in Subic.

Authorities initially pointed to the victim’s brother, Dennis, as the mastermind behind the killing.Dennis denied the “false and baseless” claim.
