Another one comes out in the open. Kris Aquino already has her hands full with her ongoing legal and social media spat with Jesus and Nicko Falcis but another “ghost from her past” recently resurfaced.

This week, Rhodora Morales spoke about her experience working with Aquino two years ago. Morales is a businesswoman with interests in electrical supply, pharmaceuticals, brokerage, forwarding and logistics, land development and travel industry.

She revealed that she was approached to produce a show for Kris in 2017. Details included the talent fee and whole expenses that amounted to P20 million to produce the travel show Trip Ni Kris, which aired as a block-timer on GMA-7 on 9 April 2017.

Aquino had an exclusive interview with entertainment news site, pep.ph, which published the story the day after the special aired. The actress alleged that her payment was delayed and she denied any involvement with the son of Morales, Renan, a former car race driver who was then sitting as a councilor in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija.

Kris said in the interview that she felt she was “used” in the issues that claimed she and Renan were an item.

Two years later, Rhodora or better known as Doray, spoke out. She said she and her family had already kept quiet for two years. After that incident, she and Kris did not speak with each other. She added, “Hindi na. Nightmare siya sa akin (No. She’s a nightmare for me).”

As of press time, Aquino has yet to issue any statement or comment about this latest development.

Meanwhile, Kris’ former co-host, Korina Sanchez is taking to social media to update her followers and fans of the latest happenings in her relatively peaceful domestic life. Aside from hosting the Sunday night magazine show, Rated K, the broadcast journalist is busy playing housewife to husband and senatorial aspirant Mar Roxas.

Among her posts that elicited mixed reactions was her peeling carrots which she said will be used for sinigang. Many netizens immediately raised their brows as carrots are not a common ingredient in a sinigang recipe. The viand is actually a sour soup made by using the paste, juice or whole fruit of known sour fruits such as tamarind and green mango. Radish, string beans, kangkong or water spinach, eggplant and gabi or taro are the vegetables commonly used to make the sinigang along with choice of either pork, bangus or shrimp. Thus, some netizens poked fun at her for using carrots for sinigang.

It later turned out that Mar was cooking a sort of fusion recipe of sinigang: instead of the earlier mentioned meats, Mar used short ribs as meat with carrots and potatoes as vegetables. Korina shared that the dish turned out good and tasted between being a sinigang and nilaga (slow-cooked beef or pork soup.)

Korina posted these while they were vacationing in Pennsylvania in the United States. Succeeding posts had netizens speculating that they are expecting with Korina seen shopping for baby items.

On 21 February, she and Mar announced that they are parents to fraternal twins — a boy and a girl — through surrogacy. In the post, which showed the tiny feet of the twins, Korina shared how she did not expect such a miracle to happen to her at her age. She then engaged the public by asking for name suggestions.

“We’re thinking of names. Any suggestions? Jack and Jill? Sonny and Cher? MariKor and KoriMar? Daniel and Kathryn? Did you ever think it could still happen for me? I never stopped believing,” she ended the post with a heart emoji.

Korina revealed on Friday’s newscast of TV Patrol that they named their twins, Pepe and Pilar.

There’s something about music and romance. Or more accurately, a director and his muse. Toni Gonzaga found her Mr. Right when she did the music video of her song “Catch Me, I’m Fallin’.” Whenever one looks at that particular MV, there’s a certain inexplicable glow in Toni. It later turned out that her director then was Paul Soriano, who she eventually married in 2015. They are now parents to two-year-old Seve, who will turn three in September.

Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos have taken a seemingly similar path although both have been friends first. After speculations on dating rumors, Ramos opened up about his “approaching two years” of having a relationship with Gabbi.

What’s interesting about their story is that each is a contract star of rival networks. Gabbi is with GMA-7 while Khalil is with ABS-CBN. That didn’t stop the two from seeing each other.

According to Khalil, they were introduced to each other during actress Julia Barretto’s debut in 2015. Some netizens snapped photos of them going out in gigs or social events. They would not talk about those rumors and leave it hanging in the air like most celebrities do before they get the clear signal that it’s okay for them to admit to anything.

They flew to Singapore to shoot the MV of Gabbi’s single “All I Need” in 2017. Khalil shot both the photos and MV of the single.
