Sexagenarian cocker busted

A 60-year-old cockfighting aficionado and a man who underwent drug rehabilitation were arrested by police authorities in a buy-bust operation in San Juan City Monday night.

Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes, San Juan police chief, identified the suspects as Ricardo Llige, alias Ricky, 60, a resident of Mansanas Street, Marikina Heights, Marist Village, Marikina City; and Ronnie del Rosario, alias Ronnie, 30, of F. Atanacio Street, Barangay Progreso, San Juan City.

The suspects were collared along Anastacio Street, Brgy. Progreso at around 7:45 p.m. The operation was conducted based on the information that Llige was actively involved in peddling drugs in San Juan City.

An undercover agent transacted with the senior citizen and agreed to meet him along Anastacio Street. Llige arrived with Del Rosario and were nabbed by cops on standby with the poseur-buyer after receiving the marked money.
