Girl left to die

Police authorities nabbed over the weekend an 18-year-old driver who left to die his 13-year-old student passenger after she fell from his tricycle in Quezon City two years ago.

The girl was run over by an 18-wheeler truck and the suspect, Marlon Baidal, did not bother to bring her to a hospital, according to San Juan City police chief Dindo Reyes.

Reyes said the suspect was apprehended by teams of warrant and subpoena section headed by Senior Police Officer 4 Eduardo Fronda while driving his tricycle along F. Blumetritt St., Barangay Pedro Cruz, San Juan City at around 6:55 p.m.

The victim and her friends hired Baidal who was also their neighbor to bring them to Cubao unknown to their parents.

While the vehicle was traversing the street, the victim who was riding at the back seat fell from the tricycle.
