In a case akin to the movie “Terminal” with a fatal twist, a Chinese-American who arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) 3 on 28 January jumped to his death Thursday evening.

Identified as Shau Chang Yee, 69, the man stayed a few days at NAIA 3 before leaping from the fourth floor to the third floor near the departure area escalator. He was declared dead on arrival at the Makati Medical Center.

“Terminal” starred Oscar-winner Tom Hanks and revolved around a man who lived for months in an airport terminal, scrounging for food and other basic necessities.

Yee arrived from Hong Kong via Cebu Pacific flight 5J119. He died from a fractured skull.
