Ma leads, son follows

Three alleged drug suspects, including a woman and her son, were nabbed in a police operation in Marikina City Friday evening.

The suspects were identified as Mohammar Ganda, alias Raizen, 25; Beverly Bon Bejerano, 46; and her son Michael Ordanes Bon, 19; all residents of Barangay Tumana, Marikina City.

The three suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by members of Marikina City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit at Blk. 24, Singkamas St., Barangay Tumana at about 9:15 p.m.

Recovered from the suspects were eight sachets of suspected shabu, coin purse and a P500 buy-bust money. The suspects are now detained at Marikina detention cell.

In Mandaluyong City, a half-naked man was arrested for possession of illegal drugs Friday afternoon.

Police identified the suspect as Laurence Spencer Quiambao, 28, a resident of Barangay Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City.

Elements of the Police Community Precinct 3 of Mandaluyong City Police Station and the Bantay Bayan were conducting roving patrol when they chanced upon the suspect whom they ticketed for being shirtless.

However, during the issuance of the ordinance ticket, the police officer noticed a small transparent plastic sticking out from suspect’s worn underwear’s garter.

When scrutinized, the police officer found a heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing crystalline substance believed to be shabu .
