Marian Rivera-Dantes: The hands-on momma

For her adorable three-year old daughter Zia to achieve age-appropriate nutrition, Marian has confidently chosen Nido Advanced Protectus 3+.

Even with Baby #2 on the way, well-loved Kapuso actress Marian Rivera-Dantes sees to it that she’s on top of every situation.

From performing her acting duties, managing her online flower shop business Flora Vida, to taking care of her actor-husband Dingdong and three-year-old daughter Zia, Marian makes it a point to play to proactively deal with the different aspects of her life.

Of it all, the family, especially her daughter comes first in her priority list.

“I love everything that I’m doing, that’s why I always do my best to juggle them all. But of course, I put more focus into taking care of my child right now,” says the 34-year-old mom.

Marian describes Zia as an active child who loves the outdoors. “Like me, she’s ‘one of the boys.’ She’s not afraid to try anything, she’s always on the go, and very persistent. As they say, this trait is a sign of a kid’s intelligence,” she explains.

Instead of holding her back, Marian allows Zia to explore new and different things that interest her. And what kind of mom can actually resist, when her child asks with pleading eyes, “Mom, can I try this (or that)?”

Marian is acing motherhood these days with the ability to relate well with her little one. For instance, in order to keep Zia from playing around while eating her meals, she once told her: “You know what, anak, if you’re going to eat beside me, Mama will be very happy. Can we try it?”

According to her, upon hearing that question, Zia immediately traded her toys for a seat beside her mom at the dinner table. “Until now, it’s instinctive for her to wash her hands first, then sit beside me during mealtimes.” Marian adds.

Marian also finds it easy to feed Zia with the right kind of food. Her kid’s fave right now? “It’s steamed broccoli,” Marian shares.

Marian believes that good nutrition comes from preparing the right kind of food and milk drink for her young one. “She drinks a lot of milk. That’s why as you can see, she’s very active!” she remarks.

At the official launch of Marian and Zia’s Nestle NIDO 3+ television commercial, the adorable tot can be seen jumping up and down in front of the crowd, peering at the screen and asking for the TVC to be replayed, smiling to everyone, and interacting with other guests.

Even when Marian requested her to “exit frame,” or leave the set, Zia gently told her, “I don’t want, Mama. I want to see the commercial again,” all to the crowd’s laughter.

For Missy Ayson, the Vice President and Lead Consumer Marketing Manager for NIDO Growing-Up Milk (GUM), “it was easy to choose Marian as the latest brand ambassador.

She’s really a hands-on mom who tries to strike a balance between herself, career, and family. During the shoot, we saw how she took care of Zia, and it’s very heartwarming. Her values are aligned with what the brand stands for, and that’s love and protection.”

Zia seems to be a natural in front of the crowd. At some point during the TVC launch, the charming kiddo even asked the crowd, “Did you like my commercial?” or said “Thank you for watching. I love you, everyone!”

Both Dingdong and Marian have already exposed their young daughter to the nature of their work.

Dingdong would show Zia some behind-the-scenes videos for his action drama series Cain at Abel, while Marian would sometimes bring her to the set of variety show Sunday PinaSaya.

When asked though, if the couple would let their child enter show business early, Marian firmly replied, “When she finishes school. Definitely, after college.”
