Makati reroutes Ayala, Buendia traffic flow

A traffic re-routing scheme was implemented starting yesterday at Ayala Avenue and Sen Gil J. Puyat (Buendia) Avenue in Makati City due to the closure of the Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge for rehabilitation.

Motorists were advised of the following changes:

The stretch of Makati Avenue (from J. P. Rizal Avenue going towards Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue) was converted into a one-way street. Vehicles going towards Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge were advised to turn right at P. Burgos Street and head towards J.P. Rizal Avenue-Makati Avenue intersection and turn right towards the bridge.

On Gil J. Puyat Avenue onwards to Tordesillas, Malugay Street Intersection, Sen Gil J. Puyat Avenue and Ayala Avenue Intersection: Left turning vehicles along Sen Gil J. Puyat Avenue going to Salcedo Village will take the Zuellig Loop.

Vehicles going to Makati-CBD from Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge will make a right turn to JP Rizal Avenue and turn left to N. Garcia Street, right to Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue and finally, take a left turn to Ayala Avenue, entering the Central Business District.

Right turning vehicles along J.P. Rizal Avenue from Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge can also make a left turn to Zapote Avenue.
