First Lady Melania Trump marked the New Year by posting a rare, close-up selfie of herself.

Melania posted the photo on both Twitter and Instagram on Tuesday after hosting a lavish New Year’s Eve ball at Mar-a-Lago in Florida while her husband Donald remained at the White House.

The selfie photo had a glittery 2019 social media filter emblazoned across it.

Melania was dressed in a long-sleeved sparkly V-neck black dress and her son Barron was spotted wearing a black tuxedo during the event.

Netizens were quick to notice Melania had cropped someone out of the image, leading them to speculate who the individual was. At first glance, the image appears to show the First Lady alone.

But the bottom right-hand corner of the black and white image shows a human eyeball, which appears to belong to Barron — Donald and Melania Trump’s 12-year-old son.
