Peaceful Manila

The Manila Police District (MPD) reported yesterday that no incident of stray bullets injuring anyone was reported during and after the New Year’s Eve revelry.

MPD chief PSSupt. Vicente Danao Jr. declared the year-end celebrations to be generally peaceful with minimal reported injuries.

There had been no complaint against any MPD cop firing his gun, Danao said, adding the police coordinated with government agencies to ensure the peaceful celebration of 2019.
