An official of Barangay Magsaysay, Infanta, Quezon appealed for help as access to the village was cut off by a landslide and collapse of a bridge in the area.

Enrique Peñaranda Jr., a barangay councilor, made the appeal calling for Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar to attend to their emergency.

Peñaranda said the bridge, which collapsed on 30 December, is used by students in going to school.

Meanwhile, a landslide blocked part of the Marcos Highway Thursday making it impassable. The landslide occurred on Wednesday also affecting the neighboring barangay Pinlak.
