Pinay skateboarder wins gold medal

Margielyn Didal (Facebook photo) Skateboarder Margielyn Didal won the Philippines’ fourth gold medal in the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Didal, 19, had a victorious performance in the finals of the women’s street event at the JSC Skate Park in Palembang with a score of 30.4 points.

She beat Japanese Isa Kaya’s 25 points good for second place.

The Cebuana girl’s victory put the Philippines to the 17th spot in the medal tally with a total four golds and 13 bronzes as of Wednesday.
