UP choir wins grand prize in 66th Guido d’Arezzo

The University of the Philippines Singing Ambassador (UPSA) has won the grand prize in the 66th International Guido d’Arezzo Polyphonic Contest in Italy and the right to participate in the most prestigious choral competition in the world: the European Choral Grand Prix, next year.

The choir announced the win on its Facebook page on Sunday, 26 August 2018.

The UPSA said it also won four first prizes in the categories Compulsory, Sacred Music, Secular Music and Monographic.

“We still have a month left to spend in Europe but we are so excited to bring back home the laureates we achieved for the Filipino people,” read a post of the choir.
