Taiwanese collared for P30-M shabu

The Manila Police District reported yesterday the arrest of a Taiwanese, Chan Ching Hao, on Friday for possession of seven kilos of suspected shabu with a street value of P30 million.

Chief Supt. Rolando Anduyan, head of “Manila’s Finest,” said the shabu was in seven plastic bags with a kilo each. Also seized from Chan was 12 boxes of .9mm ammunition.

The suspect was arrested following a raid on Room 506 of Good Life Hotel in Binondo, Manila.

In San Juan City, a 58-year-old woman’s seven years of evading a warrant for her arrest over drug trafficking charges ended yesterday with her arrest.

Luzviminda Llantero was nabbed at 30 Vicencio Street in Barangay San Perfecto while manning her carinderia in front of her house.

The warrant issued by Judge Myrna Lim-Verano on 29 April 2011 did not recommend bail. Her case dated back to a drug buy-bust operation in January 2001.

The Quezon City police, meanwhile, arrested an alias “Ganni” in a drug sting in Barangay Santo Domingo, recovering from the suspect six sachets of shabu and the P300 marked money.

Police were able to recover six sachets of suspected shabu and the P300 marked money.

“Ganni” will be accompanied by his brother Jonathan in jail after the latter allegedly tried to bribe policemen P25,000 for the former’s freedom.
