Ph backs ‘Belt and Road’

Philippine Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez said the Philippines will continue to actively take part in China’s Belt and Road Initiative during his meeting with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Wednesday.

Dominguez also said the Philippines highly appreciates and will attend the first China International Import Expo to be held in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November.

For his part, Wang said, “China is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with the Philippines to promote pragmatic cooperation to a new level.”
