Shabu seized

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized on Saturday an estimated P3.4 million worth of illegal drugs from two suspected drug pushers during a buy bust operation in Parañaque City.

According to the police, the operation started at a parking lot of a shopping mall in Parañaque and the deal was consummated at BF Homes where one of the suspects was arrested.

The arrested suspect was identified only as “alias Arnel” while his companion known as “alias Oscar” managed to elude arrest.

Seized from Arnel were 500 grams of shabu although the suspect denied he was dealing in illegal drugs, claiming he just arrived in Manila from his hometown in Cotabato.

However, the PDEA said the two are known to anti-drug enforcers as high value targets and that the operation was launched after months of surveillance conducted against the suspects.

Meanwhile, the separate anti-drug operations of the Manila police netted around P2 million worth of shabu from four suspects, three of them tricycle drivers.

The illegal drugs were seized from the suspects arrested in a buy bust operation conducted in the vicinity of Tayuman and Jose Abad Santos Streets in Manila.

A total of nearly 500 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P1.9 million were seized from the arrested suspects.

The Manila police is now following up leads to determine the supplier of shabu taken from the tricycle drivers. EWB
