‘Druggies’ fall in Caloocan

The Caloocan City police arrested 13 alleged drug personalities in a 24-hour operation that ended yesterday.

The latest to fall were suspected drug pushers Marcel Geronimo, 25, and Romalie Padilla, 33, and two purported drug users, namely, Reynaldo de la Cruz, 57 and Zareno Gabriel Declaro, 15.

The four were arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Caloocan Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) around 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Samson Road and General Pio Valenzuela Street in Barangay 7-B.

Three sachets of shabu and the P200 buy-bust money were seized from Geronimo. De la Cruz and Declaro each yielded one sachet of shabu.

Police said the four were not on any drug list in the city.

Nine other suspected pushers and users were collared in drug stings in different barangays, along with 13 persons arrested for playing the illegal gambling game cara y cruz in public.
