Desserts you can drink
TRIPLE Chocolate is for all chocolate lovers, a drink with dark chocolate powder, dark chocolate sauce and topped with chocolate cheesecake whipped cream and double chocolate fudge bar. Drinks and beverages do not only quench thirst but also perk you up, intoxicate and satisfy the sweet tooth. Working with multiple purposes, people can be inventive with drinks.
There is a panoply of drinks that can delight us and people do not stop concocting more.
Coffee is one of the most popular drinks, and there are a multitude of preparations.
Seattle’s Best Coffee (SBC) is offering more. The international coffee chain opened in the Philippines in 2000 and has helped fostered an urban café culture, drawing diners with different concoctions and a comfy atmosphere to longue around.
ALONG with the new drinks, SBC is also offering new merchandise — Henry the Calico Cat mug, Barry the Frenchie mug and an eco-friendly stainless tumbler. This season, SBC is introducing a line of drinks that is sweet and rich, really dessert in liquid form. We usually have coffee with dessert and the new line enables us to experience both in one drink. SBC is offering these ice-blended, coffee drinks as a way to pamper ourselves.
THE new Just Desserts beverages, available in hot mocha or ice-blended Javakula: Triple Chocolate, Campfire S’mores and Hazelnut Cheesecake Javakula. “We love desserts. Especially for this season, we developed indulgent drinks. We come from work, we are tired and we want to splurge. We want to treat ourselves after a long day of work,” said SBC senior barista Archie Calaguas, who have been a barista for 10 years now and who have been with SBC for five years.
The limited-edition offerings, called SBC Just Desserts, features three new beverages, available in hot mocha or ice-blended Javakula: Triple Chocolate, Campfire S’mores and Hazelnut Cheesecake Javakula. There are many sweet treats that go into the drinks and one is their special whipped cream.
“What’s special about these drinks is that we are not using the regular whipped cream. We are using cheesecake whipped cream. These are more special than the other drinks,” revealed Calaguas. “There’s a balance of sweetness and saltiness.”
For chocoholics, when it comes to chocolate, there is no such thing as “too much.” They may find the Triple Chocolate Javakula truly satisfying.
Campfire S’mores is Mocha Javakula topped with toasted marshmallow and honey graham crackers with drizzles of shortbread syrup and chocolate. “This is a very rich and chocolaty drink. We use dark chocolate powder, dark chocolate sauce and topped with chocolate cheesecake whipped cream and double chocolate fudge bar. So it’s very rich and indulgent,” Calaguas said.
On the other hand, the Campfire S’mores brings people back to their childhood, roasting marshmallows or indulging in S’mores. This Mocha Javakula is topped with toasted marshmallow and honey graham crackers with drizzles of shortbread syrup and chocolate.
The sweet-salty Hazelnut Cheesecake Javakula, Calaguas pointed out, is a layered drink with white bands of cheesecake sauce in between the dark browns of the drink and crushed graham crackers. This is infused with hazelnut syrup and topped with cheesecake whipped cream and dark chocolate syrup.
The SBC Just Desserts collection is offered until 15 October.
Along with the Just Desserts line, SBC is also offering its new merch—the Henry the Calico Cat mug, Barry the Frenchie mug and an eco-friendly stainless tumbler. There’s a little history on Henry the Calico Cat mug. It is named after a big, friendly stray cat, which was later called Henry, that once lived at the original Seattle’s Best Coffee roasting plant on Vashon Island, Washington, United States. SBC’s firstsignature blend, Henry’s Blend, was named after the cat.
