Sarge collared for rape

A former Army sergeant, Alfonso B. Abubas, 44, was arrested for rape and presented yesterday by policemen to National Capital Region Police Office head Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar.

Abubas was nabbed on the complaint of “Jelly” that on 15 April 2016, she was forcibly taken by the accused to a motel in Quezon City where she was raped.

The ex-soldier is facing charges at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 222 which issued the warrant for his arrest. No bail was set by Judge Edgar Dalmacio Santos.
