Jimeno quits for overseas study

Lawyer Karen Jimeno yesterday said she resigned as Undersecretary for Disaster Resiliency to complete a graduate course in the United States.

Jimeno revealed her resignation through her Twitter account.

“As USec for PMS, I finished my task of helping draft a Disaster Bill before resigning,” Jimeno said.

Jimeno worked pro bono for government, revealing she did not receive salary for the PMS post.

She also served as Undersecretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
