Perhaps it’s about time Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary (Asec.) Margaux “Mocha” Uson took the surprising nugget of wisdom that came from Sen. Nancy Binay late last year.

The Senator told her, during the Senate hearing on fake news held last 4 October 2017, that it might be time for her to choose between being a blogger or a public official.

Her words translated from Filipino went like this: “So it’s very clear at this point in time you can no longer separate being a blogger to being an assistant secretary. So, I guess, it’s very clear. Maybe it’s high time you decided if you want to be a blogger or if you want to be an assistant secretary.”

The perpetually embattled ASec. Uson is in hot water anew for a video uploaded online. By now, everyone who has a smartphone, and even those who are constantly updated with the news, know what went on in the controversial video which also features a certain Drew Olivar doing the “suggestive dance moves” singing and dancing about “Pederalismo.”

PCCO Secretary Martin Andanar said on Monday afternoon, 6 August, that he was “bypassed” when Uson was tapped by the Consultative Committee (Con-com) spokesman Ding Generoso to spread public awareness on federalism.

Even the higher echelons of the President’s party, namely, Senator Koko Pimentel and Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, have expressed their take on Uson’s participation in the information drive of Federalism. Andanar shared that the Executive Secretary was “bad trip” or annoyed with Uson’s most recent controversy.

Sen. Pimental suggested for Uson to take a leave. Perhaps what she needs, indeed, is a breather. Come to think of it, since she took the post, she never had a break from all the bashing from netizens and apprehensions over her tenure on the post.

Being constantly subjected to such intense scrutiny is quite taxing. A person can only take so much until he or she breaks down. That’s basic psychology.

There’s a famous Bible-inspired idiom that goes: “No man can serve two masters at the same time.”

Perhaps, for the good of what’s left of her, Mocha should take heed and breathe.

Unlike Uson, her fellow sexy star is trending now for all the right reasons.

Rufa Mae Quinto’s Waze audition video uploaded on her YouTube channel last Saturday, 4 August, has made people happy.

Said video has already hit the 67,000 mark as of this writing. For years, people who use the traffic navigation app have wondered how the sexy actress would sound like as their traffic navigator.

Last Saturday, they finally had the answer. Quinto relayed her instructions in her distinct tone and gayspeak. She navigated her way through traffic in a comical way, correlating how navigating the instructions around how one’s love life can be messy with all sorts of wrong turns along the way.

Of course, she did not fail to include her punchlines, “To The Highest Level,” and “Todo na’to” in her spiel.

Most of the comments were positive and thanked the sexy actress for granting their wishes. She might have found a way to make herself relevant again.
