3 with fake docs face deportation

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said yesterday three foreigners arrested earlier at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport for using fake documents are being subjected to deportation proceedings.

BI Deputy Commissioner and Port Operations Division chief Marc Red Mariñas identified the three as Moustapha Harry Dicko of Mali, Gabriel Martinez Mendoza from Mexico and Joynul Islam, a Bangladeshi.

Mariñas said they were brought to BI jail in Taguig City. They will be put on the country’s blacklist to bar their return.

Islam was arrested 1 Aug. for having a fraudulently acquired electronic travel authority while Martinez Mendoza was intercepted when the biopage of his Mexican passport was found to be altered.

Dicko was apprehended when he tried to leave for Indonesia with a tampered Mali passport.
