Ex-cop on drugs list killed

A retired police officer named in President Rodrigo Duterte’s narco-list was killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen yesterday morning in Manila.

Former National Capital Region Police Office Supt. Roberto Palisoc, who in 2016 was tagged by the President as a “high value drug target,” was killed in an ambush by two motorbike riders at the corner of San Andres and Angel Linao Streets in Manila at 9:32 a.m.

Palisoc was aboard a “pedicab” with another person when fired at by the gunmen.

He was hit in the nape and rushed to the Ospital ng Maynila where he was declared dead on arrival.

His male companion, unnamed at press time, was also wounded in the attack and is still being treated in the same hospital.

Investigators could not release further details about the shooting. They said camera footage of the possible route of the attackers are being sought.
