Andanar reacts to Uson’s federalism video

Presidential Communications and Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar on Monday said PCOO Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has a right to speak about federalism, but she won’t be the speaker for federalism.

Andanar issued the reaction in a DZRH interview.

“There is a selection committee and one who has knowledge of federalism will be placed there,” said Andanar.

The PCOO chief denied that his office is wasting the P90 million budget for the government’s information drive on federalism.

“The budget is P80 to P90 million but portion of its has been spent bythe DILG for the ConCom,” said Andanar, referring to the consultative committee that drafted the federal constitution.

Meanwhile, Uson said she hasn’t received any fund for federalism.

Uson’s video on federalism went viral but drew criticisms from senators and other legislators who deemed it done in bad taste.

The video featured a jingle titled “Pepedederalismo” that was sung by a pro-Duterte blogger.

Blogger Andrew Olivar, who is Uson’s co-host on the “Good News Game Show” also danced and sang about federalism with “pepederalismo” lyrics.
