Triathlons prompt early airport check-in

The road leading to the airport will be closed to give way to Ironman 70.3, Iron Girl, and Iron Kids triathlons, Cebu Pacific (CEB) said on Thursday.

“We advise our passengers to take alternative routes going to the airport. They can take the Sangi Motumbo Road or the Benito Ebuen Airbase,” CEB spokesperson Charo Logarta said.

Passengers should make adjustments and plan which route or routes to take, so they could reach the airport on time, she said.

The airline reminded passengers that check-in counters will close 45 minutes before the flight schedule. Those with international flights must be at the airport at least two hours before their flight schedule to allow ample time for security checks, CEB added.

Passengers were also advised to check-in online or via the airline’s mobile app.
