CATHAY Pacific offers rewards for frequent flyers.
Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon offer better rewards
Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon now offer more Asia Miles to their passengers on majority of their flights, as well as better access and more availability of redemption bookings following the changes to Asia Miles, the airlines’ rewards program.
Passengers will now earn more Asia Miles on most tickets, including popular destinations such as Shanghai, Osaka and London. Customers will earn Asia Miles based on a combination of cabin class, fare class, and distance zone. For tickets issued before 22 June 2018 for travel on or after this date, members will be credited with the higher number of Asia Miles, irrespective of the changes.
The number of seats available for customers to redeem has been increased by 20 percent. This will allow them to enjoy greater flexibility in choosing how they’d like to redeem their flights according to their individual travel needs and priorities.
Flyers will be able to redeem all economy tickets with fewer or the same miles. For instance, a roundtrip redemption booking to Hong Kong or Japan will require fewer Asia Miles than it did before the change.
Some flight awards, especially on longer routes, will require more miles to redeem.
However, this should be looked at together with passengers’ increased Asia Miles earning potential. For example, while those flying to and from London in First class earn nearly 30 percent more miles, it will require almost three fewer trips to earn the number of miles for an award return ticket on the same route in the same class.
All flight awards will be set as one-way to allow even more flexibility, so that travelers can fly to and from a destination in different cabin classes. These changes to Asia Miles are in addition to recent Marco Polo Club program enhancements, which have seen members earn more club points on Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon flights across all distance zones in selected fare classes, as well as the threshold to maintain Green membership reduced.
AirAsia, a low-cost airline, is bringing the world’s first ever Freedom Flyer Programme, designed to reward loyal guests with an easier, faster and better way to earn AirAsia BIG Points, to the Philippines.
First launched in Malaysia, the overhauled loyalty program powered by AirAsia BIG Loyalty features a unique membership status system based on how often guests fly, regardless of how much they spend on fares or how far they fly.
Each guest is automatically a member, starting with Red status where you will earn up to 20 BIG Points per P125 spent (subject to foreign exchange fluctuations). Gold members earn up to 40 BIG Points, Platinum up to 70 BIG Points and Black up to 120 BIG Points.
Additionally, long-haul and Fly-Thru flights count as two one-way short-haul flights for membership status qualification purposes, making it doubly rewarding to travel with AirAsia X.
Guests with a minimum of 100 BIG Points can pay for their flight bookings with BIG Points com. Other BIG member privileges include 90 percent off flights during monthly promotions like Final Call Sale and Final Call Sale X exclusively on the AirAsia BIG Loyalty app, plus 24-hour priority redemption for Red Hot Piso Sale anytime, anywhere.
