UPCAT hopefuls join queues

About 10,000 students from private schools, some accompanied by their parents, beat the deadline yesterday for the filing of application for the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) in the National Capital Region.

The crowd estimate came from the UP Police manning the Diliman, Quezon City campus of the premier state university in the country. Those coming from public high schools in Metro Manila have until 3 August to file their applications.

The deadline for UPCAT applications in the provincial campuses of UP was set for 10 August, same as the deadline for applicants coming from foreign schools.

The UPCAT for academic year 2019 will be held 15 and 16 September 2018.
