Fugitive falls in Cavite

A robbery gang leader and murder suspect long wanted by police has been caught in Bacoor, Cavite after three weeks of stakeout.

Norberto Onam Doctor, 52, was captured around 10:20 a.m. on Sunday at his hiding place in Barangay Kaingen, according to Supt. Vicente Cabatingan, chief of police.

Doctor was allegedly involved in gun-for-hire activities and led the Obet Robbery Hold-up group responsible for a series of ‘hits’ in Bacoor and neighboring cities and towns.

Doctor has two standing warrants of arrest for robbery filed at the Regional Trial Court in Bacoor City and another warrant for murder case in Nueva Ecija based on his records with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.

The suspect was previously jailed at the New Bilibid Prison for three murder cases committed in Las Piñas City.
