Business registry agencies streamline operations further

The various business registry-facilitation agencies banded together on Wednesday to streamline further their interconnectedness and by this measure extend to the transacting public a degree of ease often lacking or nonexistent in such services.

The objective, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said, is to achieve a degree of efficiency among the various government offices in the registration of business entities consistent with Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

“We shall continue to push towards streamlining and automation, eventually leading to one form and faster processing,” Lopez said.

The various government entities the business sector has to deal with in pursuit of their endeavors and whose efficiency of operations has often been found wanting include the Department of Trade and Industry, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Philippine Health Insurance Corp., the Social Security System and the Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG.
