Taguig exec rapped for ‘Ecstasy’

The Paranaque City police filed yesterday criminal charges against Taguig City Councilor Richard Paul “Ric” Jordan for possession of 30 tablets of “Ecstasy.”

Senior Supt. Victor Rosete, Paranaque City police chief, said Jordan was arrested on July 3 inside the Solaire Resort and Casino.

Rosete ordered the filing of charges against Jordan upon the release of the laboratory result on the party drug seized from the councillor.

Jordan was slapped with violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

Police report showed that shortly before 8:00 p.m. on July 3, Jordan appeared restless when he went out from his room inside the hotel, prompting guards to frisk him.

When the guards saw the tablets, they called the police and turned over Jordan to the lawmen.
