Tan tows Portmen past BOC Hitz

CEBU CITY – Mark Tan spearheaded a well-balanced assault as Portmen smothered BOC Hitz, 71-63, in the 1st Cebu Vintage Basketball Artists (CVBA) basketball tournament Sunday at the Basak Elementary School gym here.

Meanwhile, the Explorers posted their second consecutive win as they survived a late-game scare from the Floaters to run away with an 85-81 win in the opener of another explosive triple-header.

With Tan at the helm the Portmen took a 10-point lead, 67-57, in the final three-minute mark to seal the victory.

Erwin Lambayan had 13 points while Tan had 10 markers for the Portmen, who won four consecutive wins after dropping their opening-day assignment.

Ferdie Sigue scattered 18 points for BOC Hitz, who absorbed their third loss in four games.
