Genuine public service continues

I encourage the public to continue supporting government programs and reforms to mark the second year of President Duterte.

Mr. Duterte has no other desire than to improve the nation’s welfare that he would be able to do faster if rather than criticisms, suppport is provided him.

In these years we were together the President is consistent in saying that he has no other thing in mind but to uplift the lives of our people, rid the streets of criminals, stop the proliferation of illegal drugs and cleanse the government of corrupt officials who take advantage of their posts for their own self-interests.

In the past two years, the President has focused on the three-point agenda including the campaign against illegal drugs, criminality and corruption.

This was the reason for those close to the President to be dismissed from their posts because they were tainted with allegations of corruption.

In the two years that the President was in power, several infrastructure and economic development projects were started, several laws were also passed and implemented.

Aside from these, social welfare, health and education programs were strengthened during the short period that the President was in power.

His critics should stop worrying that the President intends to stay in his position beyond his term since, in fact, he had intended to return to Davao after fulfilling his promises to the nation.

I also thank the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for being partners of the President in putting the nation in order. May you be not afraid in pursuing your mandate to the nation since the President is behind you as long as you don’t violate the law.
