Artist of ideas

Humanistic Astrology offers a person-centered approach in which the stars’ imprint within the person at birth describes his or her most personal and unique essence – and in many ways his or her life’s destiny.

He tends to generalize on things and can think up more philosophic reasons why it is right for him to be angry, or in love, or offended, than he can shake a stick at. He can also work from the general down to the particular, and his ability to put two and two together, or to split up ideas into their component parts, is the bulwark of his intellectual strength.

He is romantic, highly idealistic, with a sort of personal responsibility that the world be kept as idealistic as possible, which, the world being what it is, is quite a job.

There is something of the artist about him, though he is an artist in ideas rather than in color, line, or design. The abstraction of music appeals to him and with training, he can become a fine performer. But ideas are his special province. Getting them and his personality across by his force and manner of expression lends such color and drama that even his enemies admit his sincerity.

He has a tendency to feel that no one is quite so high-minded as he is. He is a snob in matters of ideology and loves his own to the exclusion of others. This would seem intolerant if his ideology were not sound, but it usually is – according to his premises. This can make him a reformer, a missionary, a Strong Man of the Right and he is perfectly capable of espousing some lost, or losing, or unpopular cause. This may concern itself with anything from broad social ideals to ideals of personal morality, but whatever it is, he is a zealot for it. In love, he is an idealist, and his idealism may stand in the way of what others think of as the practical side of love.
