USP-F out to extend run

CEBU CITY – University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USP-F) guns for its fourth straight win when it battles University of the Visayas (UV) in the seniors division of the CESAFI Partners’ Cup preseason tournament at the Cebu City Coliseum here.

Game time is at 8:15 pm following the 6:45 pm clash between Cebu Eastern College and University of San Jose-Recoletos, and the 5:15 battle between USP-F and University of San Carlos in the juniors division.

Fresh from a 63-57 win over USC last Tuesday, USP-F guns for an important win that would give it a share of lead with idle University of Cebu.

The Panthers may have the firepower with import Rich Managor at the helm, but the Lancers have deeper bench, thanks to the steady performance of reinforcement Lassina Coulibaly.

Aside from Managor, also tipped to light up the scoreboard are Mhike Patalinghug, RR Cauba, Roy Quiatchon, Ajie Mendez and Jason Cada.

The Lancers, on the other hand, will parade Most Valuable Player Rey Suerte, Joshue Segumpan, Tristan Albina and ace playmaker Sheldon Gahi.
