International mixologist Enzo Lim creates cocktails on Crate&Barrel’s Miguel Highball glass.

Agave spirits came into focus when Crate and Barrel, with Malt Manila, held a Cinco de Mayo event that explored the flavors of Mezcal, a great cocktail paired with Vengo’s authentic Mexican fare.

Internationally renowned chef Aaron Isip shared his insights on the vibrant flavors of Mexico and the making of Mezcal at the SM Makati store.

Chef Isip is the Chef de Cuisine who was awarded by renowned guide Gault et Millau the coveted Chef Espoir 2015 for Ile de France for his smart flavor combinations. Dix-Huit, Aaron’s restaurant in Paris, was named as one of the best Paris restaurants for summer 2014 by Le Figaro. He was recognized by the TV show Tres Tres Bon, received two Toques from the Gault et Millau guide 2015 and is listed in the Michelin Guide.

The Mezcal creations were showcased in Crate and Barrel’s glassware: Callaway shot glass and Dottie acrylic glass paired with the signature dishes of Vengo served in Crate and Barrel’s Cirque Dinnerware, Crawford Bowl, Santa Cruz Salsa Bowl, Rio Round Platter and Set of 6 Party Plates.

The party was attended by the group of Hoppler with their top brokers and clients.

Crate and Barrel is located in SM Aura Premier, SM Makati and SM Megamall.
