Go, other gov’t execs recognized for contributions to PAF

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Tuesday night cited several civilians and government officials, led by Special Assistant to the President Secretary Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, as part of its pre-anniversary activities.

Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Galileo Kintanar awarded Go with a plaque of recognition for his all-out support to the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing.

“For his valuable contributions to the mission accomplishment of the Philippine Air Force through his continuous collaboration with the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing in the enhancement of presidential flight operations,” the citation stated.

The 250th Presidential Airlift Wing is the primary unit of the PAF that caters to the air transportation of the Commander in Chief, his family and visiting heads of states.

As SAP, Go has exerted efforts to uplift the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing.

Maj. Aristides Galang, Air Force spokesman, said the Awards Night is part of the activities lined up for the upcoming anniversary of the PAF.

Also cited were Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Palawan Gov. Jose Alvarez, Reps. Vilma Santos, Celso Lobregat and Imelda Calixto-Rubiano.

The PAF also recognized several partner-government agencies such as the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the Department of Public Works and Highways and the provincial government of La Union.

Among the corporate awardees were Smart Communications, Cebu Pacific, Air Asia, Gardenia Bakeries and PTT Philippine Foundation Inc.
