Arielle Agasang celebrates the legendary

Agasang will be celebrating his 50th birthday by paying tribute to Filipino style and grace in a grand fashion show, “Ang Alamat ng Limampu: A Tribute to Filipino Greatness,” on June 14 at the Resorts World Manila’s Newport Plaza. Both new and classic Agasang creations and masterpieces will be featured and highlighted with over 50 models and muses.

“During the show, my collection will be donned by celebrities, actors, actresses, professional models, beauty kings and queens, doctors, lawyers, Politicians, corporate executives and even ordinary Juan dela Cruzes, for they have actually been my partners in promoting style and grace through my clothes all these years,” Agasang revealed. “These are also the people who have made contributions to society, whether publicly or silently, and who have a rightful claim to be called legends in their own right. Lahat po sila, para sa akin ay pawang mga alamat.” (All of them, for me, are legends).

A fashion legend himself, Agasang has been a recognized name in the fashion industry since 1995. Born to a middle-class family in Lavezares, Northern Samar, Agasang finished his BS Clothing Technology degree from the University of the Philippines with beadwork training from India.

Since then, he has slowly established his name as a designer and has mounted fashion shows in Asia, Middle East, United States and the United Kingdom. He has dressed numerous local and international celebrities, and his creations were worn at the red carpet at the Oscars.

“I have truly been blessed all these years. So I’d like to thank and pay tribute to the world that welcomed and loved me through this fashion show,” he said.

Among the celebrities, muses and beauty queens expected to grace the show are real-life couple Tonton Gutierrez and Glydel Mercado, Jed Madela, Rafael Rossel, Ima Castro, Gail Blanco-Viduya, Ana Ramsey, Shanaia Gomez, 5th GEN, Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo, Jam Ventosa, Bene Tan, Nico Raymundo and Gerome Bongco.
