Monsoon rains may last until Friday

WEATHER bureau PAGASA said Tuesday monsoon or Habagat rains in Luzon and Western Visayas may last until Friday.

The two regions were also forecast to experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms brought about by habagat, according to PAGASA.

Meanwhile, monsoon rains in Metro Manila may last until Wednesday, said PAGASA. The same weather forecast applies to Bataan, Zambales, Pangasinan, Benguet and Ilocos provinces.

The monsoon rains were being enhanced by the tropical depression Domeng, which exited the country on Monday.

PAGASA advised residents in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas to take extra precaution.
