“Betty” trough, southwest monsoon expected to dump rains in Phl — PAGASA

Typhoon Betty maintains its strength while moving over the Philippine Sea, east of Northern Luzon according to  PAGASA.

Weather Specialist Grace Catañeda in a press briefing at 5:00 am on Sunday, 28 May, said that the trough of the typhoon and the southwest monsoon will bring scattered rainfall and thunderstorms to the major parts of the country.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is raised over Batanes, Cagayan (including Babuyan Islands), Isabela, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, northern and central portions of Abra and Aurora, Kalinga, eastern and central portions of Mountain Province and Ifugao, Quirino, and northeastern part of Nueva Vizcaya.
