Taguig drug sting nets granny

Police recovered six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 21.33 grams with a value of P145,044.

A 70-year-old woman was arrested in a drug sting in Taguig City Thursday.

The woman, identified as “Monica,” was arrested by operatives from the Taguig City Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The operation was conducted in Sitio Imelda, Upper Bicutan, Taguig City.

During the operation, the police recovered six plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 21.33 grams with a value of P145,044. The police also recovered the P500 buy-bust money.

Monica was brought to the Taguig City Police Station for booking and processing. She will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Southern Police District Director, Chief Supt. Kirby John Kraft, commended the Taguig City Police for the successful operation.
