Marikina receives PCSO boost

The local government of Marikina City disclosed on Tuesday that it has received the more than P3 million worth of cheque from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office as its lotto share of the local government.

The charity fund was formally handed by PCSO representatives to Marikina City First District Representative Marjorie Ann Teodoro during the agency’s caravan at the Marikina Convention Center on Monday.

During the event, residents were given free dental and medical consultation, free tooth extraction and medicines, and grocery packs. This is in addition to the regular free medical and health care services being provided by the local government to the residents.

Teodoro also awarded scholarship certificates to two students from the city.

The lawmaker also visited the dental and medical booths to greet the beneficiaries and to assist them with their specific requests.
