Bayad and Palawanpay Strengthen Partnershipto Champion Financial Inclusivity among Filipinos

Bayad, the pioneer brand in the outsourced payment collection system in the Philippines, has strengthened its partnership with PPS-PEPP Financial Services Corporation, otherwise known as PalawanPay, which serves as the fintech expansion arm of Palawan Pawnshop Group, offering money transfers, cash-in or cash-out transactions, domestic remittance, and bills payment services.
Acting as the biller aggregator of PalawanPay, Bayad onboarded additional 71 biller brands in the PalawanPay mobile app. These cover electric and water utilities, cable and internet, government contributions, loan payments, credit cards, school tuition fees, online shopping, insurance, and many others.
The partnership is a testament of the shared commitment of the two companies to empower more Filipinos financially according to Bayad President and CEO Lawrence Y. Ferrer, saying: “We are constantly on the lookout for more opportunities of expanding our biller network in response to the ever-changing needs of our customers.”

For his part, PalawanPay Business Executive Officer Third Librea said the collaboration with Bayad would provide Filipinos with more convenient options to settle their bills.
“Our objective is to continuously improve our services and add more relevant features to the PalawanPay app,” Librea said.
Bayad enables partners to attain nationwide presence and provides end-to-end support services for efficient payment and collection processing.
