Basilan welcomes new district engineer

LAMITAN CITY — Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, Al Haj appointed Engr. Kasim A Hasanin as the new district engineer of Basilan province who will oversee all infrastructure projects of BARMM through the Ministry of Public Works in the province.

BARMM-MPW Minister Architect Eduard Uy Guerra on Sunday confirmed the appointment of Hasanin as BARMM-MPW district engineer of Basilan province, an island province under the Bangsamoro government.

Guerra said as the new district engineer in the province, Hasanin is now in charge to supervise and implement all infrastructure projects and programs of the BARMM-MPW in the province.

He added that Hasanin took his oath of office as permanent district engineer of Basilan province on 11 May at the BARMM-MPW office in Cotabato City.

For his part, Hasanin expressed gratitude to Ebrahim and Guerra for the trust and confidence given to him as he vowed to fast-track all ongoing infrastructure projects and programs in the province and to work closely with the 11 local government units of Basilan province.

Hasanin said that his expertise in management and in the field of engineering work has made him confident to handle the position of the district engineer, adding that as head of the district now, he will be meeting regularly with his projects engineers and office personnel to foster closer relationships and camaraderie among them.

“Knowing your personnel working with you will make you much more efficient in the delivery of the services for the people of Basilan province,” Hasanin said.
